BREAKING: Serious traffic incident reported on M7 in Tipperary with huge traffic backlog

A major traffic incident is being reported on the M7 between the Junction 26, Nenagh, and Junction 27, Birdhill.

The incident on the southbound lane has resulted in a backlog of traffic to the Nenagh exit at Carrigatoher.

The scene is being attended by a number of emergency services, including gardaí, fire services and ambulance.

At this stage it is not known if there have been any injuries.
