Tipp minor hurling manager James Woodlock
Playing for pride is Tipperary's lot in this years Munster minor hurling championship as the Premier county are out of the running for a place in the knockout stages however any time you wear the blue and gold jersey it has meaning and so Tipperary will focus on winning the game in hand against Waterford tonight.
James Woodlock announced his team late last night as Tipp prepare to take on the Deise. Harry Loughnane gets the nod in goals as the full back line includes Jack Lahart, Evan Morris and Ciaran Byrne from Golden.
Shane Buckley is once more at 5 while Oisin O'Donaghue is centre back again and Darragh Linnane is in the other wing back berth.
Jamie Ormond has worked hard across the campaign and the captain starts again in midfield partnered by David Costigan.
In the half forward line Colm Kennedy, who struck the first point against Limerick last time out, starts at 10 while star forward Sam Rowan who scored a wonder goal last week is at centre forward and Leigh Loughnane is on the other wing.
The full forward line includes Jack Hayes from Moycarkey, Stefan Tobin from Carrick Swans and Holycross corner forward Robbie Ryan who clocked up 0-16 last time out from frees and play. Tipp are still in search of their first win of a difficult campaign.
They lost to Clare on a stormy night at the Wolfe Tones GAA club, then went down to Cork where the home side emerged with the win before going to Thurles last week for a close test against Limerick where Tipp lost out to a single score in the end.
Tonight represents a chance for James Woodlocks team to finish the season with a win. The game is live streamed via Munster GAA TV with links to be found on the Munster GAA website and the action starts at 7pm.
