The Clonmel Pierce Purcell team who recently recorded a fine win away to Youghal in the national competition. Amazingly it was a first win in the Pierce Purcell for Clonmel in over 10 years.
Big win for Mixed team and Pierce Purcell Team
The Mixed team Lead by Liam Kennedy and Maura Lyons beat Tipperary Golf Club 3&2 in Clonmel Golf Club.
Cillian O'Donnell, first time out as a golf team selector and player, led the Purcell team to victory over Youghal Golf Club in Youghal.
Well done to both teams and keep it going.

Fred Daly v Tipperary
Also, our junior golfers The Fred Daly squad will be teeing it against Tipperary GC away next Saturday at 15.00 hrs. Best of luck to the youngsters.
I know you can't all get out to see the Inter club teams play but you can show your support by playing in "The Waltz" teams support competition.
If the trend keeps going it could be a long summer fingers crossed.
Donoughmore Cup Qualifier
80+ entries with the lead qualifier Kevin Jack Pyke on 41 Pts who pipped young Joe Hawkins on 40 Pts. It seems if Jack went out with 14 sweeping brushes, He would probably win the competition. Well done Jack & Joe keep her lit! Everyone else on 32 Pts or better can sleep easy as you have qualified to the last 32. Commiserations to everyone else “Hasta Mañana” as they say in Spain.
Hub win for AJ
Winner of Week 5 of The Hub nine hole was Adrian Johnson on 23 Pts.

A Four Person Waltz the proceeds of which go to support our Inter Club Teams. Thanks to the team managers Larry Tobin and Michael McSweeney who donated new Prov1s to all the team with 2 left over for the Fred Perry team Playing Dundrum in the next week or so.
The 4 Person Waltz * running from Saturday 22nd to this Friday 28th of April. First Prize Entry to The Carrick on Suir GC Golf Classic on the 4th to 7th of May.
As you may all be aware Carrick GC is at a financial crossroads and need to raise necessary funds to keep going I hope if you are unsuccessful in winning the free entry to the classic you might play or support the Carrick Golf Classic details attached, to help our friends in Carrick GC and I wish them a positive outcome in their endeavours.

The Hub 9-Hole (Yellow Tees)
If you dont fancy 18 holes or want a quick golfing fix before or after work well The Hub nine hole is the competition for you, week 4 is off the Yellow Tees. Remember you need a minimum of six cards to Qualify. Weekly winners and leader board will be refreshed and posted in the hall. Running every day all summer long. Remember if you win the Week our friends at THE HUB will give you a small voucher towards a meal of your choice or as in my case the kid will be happy to relieve you of it.
To cater for our more discerning Visitors and Members The Bulmers 18 Hole Blue Tees Summer series is in full swing.

Fred Daly panel had a practice outing at Tipperary GC on Saturday. We wish them well in their match at the same venue next Saturday, 29/4, at 3 pm

The next Clonmel Seniors competition takes place on Thursday next 27th April. Draws from 10 am to 11.30am. Hope to see you for 12 Hole scramble.

This weeks 18 Hole competition is very kindly sponsored again this year by John O Dwyer and runs on Saturday 29th and Wednesday 3rd May. It is an Open Competition on Wednesday.
The Donoughmore Cup will commence on May 1st and there is a list in the locker room for interested golfers. This competition is kindly sponsored by Gwen and Johnny Walshe.
Interclub Competitions
The return leg of The Mary Mc Kenna Perpetual Trophy will take place on Wednesday 26th at 12.45pm in Clonmel. The Intermediate team play on Tuesday 25th in Cahir Park GC. Your support for both would be much appreciated. We wish our teams the best of luck and we would like to thank the team managers for their time and effort.
The Mixed Foursomes team had a great win over a valiant Tipperary side on Sunday 23rd April in Clonmel. Well Done Clonmel and Thanks to The Tipp golfers for a very sporting match. Our appreciation to players, managers and supporters and all involved and good luck to everyone going forward.
