St. Michaels dust themselves off and go again for a domestic double

St. Michael’s players and supporters experienced a rollercoaster of emotions last weekend with the build up and excitement of the FAI Junior Cup final to the ultimate disappointment of losing a penalty shootout that went down to the last kick. 

The Tipp Town side matched Newmarket Celtic all the way until sudden death when the Clare side won on penalties at Jackman Park on Saturday evening.

There is much to play for though. The top side in Tipperary are aiming for a domestic league and cup double. This weekend they get back to local matters as they take on Clonmel Celtic in the Tipperary Cup semi-final. Another league title is still on the horizon too.

John Cremins side are going for a seventh league title in a row which will set a new record in the county and would mark a phenomenal achievement. First up though is the Tipp cup semi-final next Sunday against Clonmel Celtic. All to play for yet to fill the trophy cabinet at Cooke Park.
