All kinds of everything: Tipperary towns are top and bottom of the Eurovision fan pile

Eurovision hopefuls Wild Youth take to the stage in Liverpool tonight

As Ireland's Wild Youth prepare to take to the stage in Liverpool tonight in a bid to get the country back on the Eurovision winning trail, a new survey has revealed that Tipperary is both top and bottom of the fan base for the annual musical extravaganza.

Wild Youth's We Are One will be hoping to get Ireland out of the semi-final stage for the first time since 2018.

A survey carried out by marketing company Digital Funnel and released today, shows that Carrick-on-Suir is in the top five of towns eagerly awaiting the event.

However, bottom of the list is Nenagh, where a Google search over the past year for Eurovision revealed just 25 searches for the contest.

The first of the two semi-finals will be shown live on RTE1 tonight at 8pm.
