West Tipperary village to hear major historical talk from peacemaker

Dr Martin Mansergh who will deliver a major talk in Emly on Wednesday next

Emly Historical Society
Hosts a major talk by Dr. Martin Mansergh, in St. Ailbe’s Parish Hall on Wednesday 24th May, 8.00pm.

The title of his Talk is “Fateful Days : 10th April 1923 & 10th April 1998”. The first date refers to the ending of the Civil War, 100 years ago; the later date is when the Good Friday Agreement was signed 50 years ago. Dr. Mansergh played a big (background) role in the latter.

Admission: €5.

First Holy Communion
Ten children will receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time on next Sunday, 21st May, during the 11.15am Parish Mass.

Rosary in month of May
At Carroll’s Cross each evening, 8.00pm. All welcome.
