After a performance against Cork that highlighted his ability to the whole hurling world two weekends ago, he was given the unenviable task of sitting on Kyle Hayes. He didn’t feature in the general play at all, but he sacrificed his game to the extent that Hayes only really began to dominate after the Roscrea man’s withdrawal. He has better days ahead.
