It seems like Maher has been earmarked from early in the year with a view to being included to stifle Barry Nash, and the Lorrha man didn’t disappoint. He made life very taxing for the Limerick full back line, drawing a number of frees and was harshly penalised for a throw ball in the first half which had Jake Morris let loose with a run to goal. Didn’t look like threatening a score, but his workrate was immense during his time on the pitch.
