Maher was in fine form on Sunday. He was the spare man at the back and he was the outlet from defence on so many occasions. His pass to Gearoid O’Connor for the Moyne Templetuohy man’s second half point was like an arrow and this was typical of his deliveries all day. Getting near to his best.
