Borrisoleigh students treated to forensics workshop

Forensic Workshop

By Aleesha Fanning

TY students of St Joseph's College Borrisoleigh took part in a forensics examination into the assassination of John F Kennedy. Students were excited to find out more about the world of forensics as well as learn facts and conspiracies into the assassination, and later a recount of President JFKs last moments alive.

In the end, students tried to reach their own verdict on who could have killed President JFK after they learned; how to take fingerprints, read about what was found in Lee Harvey Oswald's pockets, saw copies of handguns that are theorized to have been used and the actual gun they found.

They also learned facts about other suspects, facts about the theorized killer Lee Harvey Oswald and learned about another recorded killing of a police officer. To end this fantastic workshop, the year was split into groups and played a board game that would help them reach their decision of who they thought was the real killer. An enjoyable and engaging workshop for everyone.
