Tipperary referee to take charge of crunch Leinster hurling championship game

Westmeath and Antrim meet in Mullingar on Sunday

Tipperary referee to take charge of crunch Leinster hurling championship game

The referees have been announced for this weekend's senior hurling and football championship games

Tipperary referee Kevin Jordan, Thurles Gaels, will be the man in the middle at Sunday's game between Westmeath and Antrim in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

The game throws in at TEG Cusack Park, Mullingar at 2pm.

In Sunday's other Leinster hurling championship ties, Dublin play Galway at Croke Park at 2pm, while at the same time Wexford and Kilkenny meet at Chadwicks Wexford Park.

Dublin need to beat Galway and hope Kilkenny at least pick up a point against Wexford to face The Cats in the provincial final on June 11.

Galway could still lose to Dublin and qualify for the final if Kilkenny are beaten by Wexford, who will most likely need at least a point to avoid relegation to the Joe McDonagh Cup.

Wexford could avoid the drop should Westmeath draw or beat Antrim. An Antrim win, combined with a draw or victory for Wexford, would demote Westmeath.

Meanwhile, Tipperary's meeting with Waterford in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship at FBD Semple Stadium at 4pm on Sunday will be refereed by Wicklow's John Keenan, and will be shown live on GAAGO.
