Liam Cahill won his appeal in Dublin

Liam Cahill has had his sideline ban overturned meaning he is free to patrol the sidelines for Tipperary in the Munster hurling championship.

The proposed one month Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) ban was was overturned after Tipperary delegation travelled to meet the hearings committee in Dublin and were successful, meaning that the Ballingarry native is free to manage Tipperary from the sidelines.

The Tipperary manager contested a sideline call during last Sunday's high octane game against Limerick and was slapped with a ban that would have meant he would miss the game against Waterford this Sunday and a Munster final against Clare on Sunday week if Tipp beat Waterford.

The next match takes places this Sunday at 4pm in Thurles while Cork will play Limerick at the same time.
