Templemore's Michael Ryan, centre, makes a plea to meet President Joe Biden during his visit to Ireland
Former Templemore town councillor and Mayor of Templemore Michael Ryan has been named among the top 100 influencers in the world for his work with those people affected by stuttering.
Michael Ryan from Whitefield, Templemore, is well-known for his work as an advocate as part of the Stuttering Awareness and Mental Wellbeing Ireland Campaign both locally, nationally and internationally.
He recently made national headlines when he launched a campaign to meet US President Joe Biden, who has also overcome stuttering, during his visit to Ireland.
Michael, who works at Centenary Templemore, says that he couldn't do this work without the support of his family and work colleagues.
