The three-year-old boy who was airlifted to hospital in Dublin on Monday afternoon after falling from a first floor level flat roof in Carrick-on-Suir, is recovering well from his injuries, according to gardaí
A Clonmel Garda Station spokeperson said the child is in a stable condition and is expected to be discharged from Temple Street Children's University Hospital in Dublin soon.
The child, whose family is believed to be originally from Brazil, fell from a flat roof onto a yard at a property at Main Street, Carrick at approximately 3.15pm on Monday.
Gardaí and ambulance paramedics attended the scene of the incident and the injured child was air lifted by air ambulance to Temple Street hospital.
The Garda spokesperson said the outcome could have been a lot more serious as the child fell from quite a height. “He is doing well and we expect him to be discharged from hospital soon,” she reported.
