A sprints double for Katie Bergin of Moyne AC in Tipperary was one of the highlights of the of the inaugural DSD Games held at the Dublin’s club’s new campus on Tibradden Lane in the foothills of the Dublin mountains on Sunday (June 18). Bergin won both the 100m and 200m in times of 12.00 secs and 24.30 secs respectively.
In the 400m, David Ryan of Moycarkey Coolcroo AC near Thurles in Co Tipperary proved fastest across four heats with a time of 48.08 secs.
Clocking a time of 10.82 in one of the six 100m heats was Jordan Knight 3rd., while winning the long jump with a best of 7.09m was Luke O’Carroll also of Tralee Harriers AC. Joseph Minister of Nenagh Olympic was second with 6.95m. The DSD Games was held in partnership with DLR County Council and a number of smaller sponsors.
