It was a very weekend at Templemore for Dundrum Juvenile AC athletes

Dundrum AC's juveniles at the County 'B' Track and Field Championships in Templemore on Saturday, June 24.

COUNTY JUVENILE B TRACK AND FIELD
The County Juvenile B Track and Field Championships were held on Saturday last in Templemore.
We had 20 athletes competing.

First into action were our Boys U9, Mikey Burke and Dathi Comerford. Daithi won bronze in the 60m. In the Boys U10 Darragh Comerford won gold in the 60m and 300m. Conor Tierney also competed in U10. In the U12 Boys Thomas Tierney won silver in the 80m and bronze in the 600m. Micheal Ryan won gold in the long jump and bronze in the 80m.

In the Girls U10 Leah Shanahan won silver in the long jump and in the turbo javelin. We had seven competing in the Girls U11. Bella Curling won silver in the long jump, Claire Morrisssey won bronze in the javelin. Ellen Maher won gold in the 500m, Ava Ryan won gold in the javelin and Grace Butler won silver in the javelin and bronze in the 500m. Isobel Hartnett and Saoirse Bourke also competed in the U11. Katelyn Shanahan won silver in the Girls U12 600m and Loren Lonergan also competed in this age group. In the Girls U13 Alison Ryan won bronze in the 80m and long jump. Molly Butler won bronze in the 600m and Elisse Kelly won bronze in the shot putt. Belle Kelly won gold in the Girls U14 600m and long jump.

Well done to all who competed. This event completed the County Juvenile Track and Field season.

MUNSTER JUVENILE B TRACK AND FIELD
The Munster Juvenile B Track and Field Championships were held in Templemore on Sunday last.

We had 15 athletes in action, with some fine performances.
Harry Creedon won gold in the Boys U9 in the 60m and 300m. Albert Maher won gold in the Boys U13 600m. Chloe O’Neill won silver in the Girls U15 100m and bronze in the long jump. Her brother Sean won two bronze medals in the 80m and long jump. Julie Morrissey won bronze in the Girls U11 long jump. Ciara Hayes Girls U10, Lilly Creedon Girls U12 and Taylor O’Toole Girls U13 all qualified for the final of their 80m sprints but did not get into the medals. Shona Ryan was a good fourth in the Girls U10 500m and fifth in the long jump. Lilly Creedon was sixth in the Girls U12 600m and Katelyn Shanahan was seventh. Ellen Maher was fifth in the Girls U11 600m and Julie Morrissey sixth. Ruby Maher was ninth in Girls U16 800m. Beibhinn Buckley was tenth in the Girls U15 800m. Leah Shanahan was fifth in the Girls U10 turbo javelin and Robbie O’Neill was eighth in the Boys U9 long jump.
