The Donkey Derby at Powerstown Park - always a popular feature at Clonmel Show every July.
Powerstown Park is the place to be in Clonmel tomorrow afternoon as thousands are expected to make their way to the event from early morning.
Thousands are expected to attend from across the country as well as a large number of competitors in different events. There will be classes for Bovine (cattle), Equine (horses/ponies), Poultry, Dogs, Horticulture as well as many other events.
There will also be food, drinks, music, animal pet farm, art, games and activities for kids & adults such as amusements and a huge variety of items on sale as vendors travel from across the country.
Hundreds of volunteers who will be on the grounds across Sunday as well as a strong committee who make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
The Agricultural Show has been running for decades going back to the 1800s and is one of the big dates in the calendar. The organisers have donated €100,000 over the past 5 years to worthy causes as 50% of the gate money brought in on the day goes to local charities and organisations.
Those attending are asked to follow the instructions of the Gardaí to the free car parks on site and in Gurtnafleur. Shuttle buses will bring those attending from the cark park to the turnstiles free of charge.
