THE LATE MICHAEL PRENDERGAST

Sincere sympathy is extended to the Prendergast on the death of Michael, formerly of Kilsheelan and late of Powerstown, Clonmel.

Michael was born in Ballinaraha in 1924 and was on the cusp of his 99th year at the time of his passing.

He began his working career in Burke’s Bacon, Clonmel where he quickly rose to a management position.

He was an outstanding hurler and served the Kilsheelan club with distinction from the mid forties to 1957 and later did untold work in the promotion of the game in the parish.

On marrying Joan the family moved to Powerstown where he quickly got involved in community affairs and played an important role in his adopted parish, however he never forgot his roots and was an avid follower of Kilsheelan Kilcash and Moyle Rovers down through the years.

To Mike, John and extended family we offer our sympathies.
