South Tipperary village gets ready for four-day multi-event festival

Clogheen Festival includes the Annual National Sheep Racing Competition, six races with tote facilities available.

CLOGHEEN FESTIVAL


Clogheen Festival at St Paul’s Community Centre, from August 3 to August 6.


Thursday, August 3, 5K John Careys Pharmacy road race, 8pm start, register at 7pm.


Friday, August 4, in concert is the wonderful PJ Murrihy, doors open at 8pm. Admission €15.


Saturday, August 5, Childrens Treasure Hunt at 3pm.


Field Evening with live music from 4pm. BBQ, teas and coffees, side shows, and much more at St Paul’s Community Hall.


Sunday, August 6, Country Market and Craft Fair from 12 to 3pm in St Paul’s.


And at 7pm the Annual National Sheep Racing Competition, six races with tote facilities available. The overall winner will receive the Richie Sullivan Memorial Cup.


All events will be in St Paul’s Community Centre Clogheen. Hope to see you all at the August weekend.
A raffle will take place on Sunday during the sheep race.
