In the National 10 Mile Championships Men’s Race held in the Phoenix Park on Sunday last, Clonmel AC’s David Mansfield (left) took the silver medal in a time of 50 minutes and 33 seconds.
Clonmel AC had a fantastic week, with two senior national road running medals won by members.
The National 10 mile Championships were held last weekend, and we saw David Mansfield finishing in second place in a time of 50 minutes and 33 seconds - picking up his national silver medal. Congrats David. What a great achievement.
In the same event, Clonmel Athletic Club were so proud to see Kealey Tideswell running a very strong race, and finishing in third place with a time of 59 minutes and 25 seconds, earning herself a well deserved bronze medal. Kealey has an endurance level of which most of us are in awe.
Kealey won on Friday night at the West Waterford Athletic Club-promoted Ballinameela 5k road race, she trained with the club session at the Sports Hub on Saturday, and then competed at the National 10 mile road race on Sunday. That level of endurance is what many runners can only dream of.
Congratulations Kealey.
