Tributes paid as engineer prepares to say farewell to Tipperary

Roger Noonan had achieved a lot in his short time in the district, District Manager Sinead Carr stated at the meeting at the Town Hall in Clonmel

Tributes were paid to departing District Engineer Roger Noonan at a meeting of Clonmel Borough District.

District Mayor Richie Molloy said that Dungarvan was gaining and Clonmel was losing, as this was Mr Noonan’s final meeting prior to his move to Waterford County Council.

He wished him all the best for the future.

Cllr Siobhán Ambrose said it was a shock to hear that Roger Noonan was leaving and she said it had been a pleasure working with him.

Cllr Michael Murphy said he was very disappointed to hear he was moving but he wished the engineer well.

Cllr John FitzGerald said that Roger Noonan had always been very approachable and that would stand to him in his career.

District Manager Sinead Carr said that he had achieved a lot in his short time in the district.

She thanked Mr Noonan for his work and wished him well.
