Mural by South Tipperary Art Group in Clonmel is almost completed

The bench in Parnell Street, Clonmel that was painted by the South Tipperary Art Group (STAG’s) work team

The South Tipperary Art Group (STAG’s) 55th annual art exhibition held at Clonmel Library in late June was a tremendous success, with well over one third of the artwork on display sold from 17 of the group’s adult artists.

Artwork has now been changed, with new work on display and for sale in The Showgrounds Shopping Centre, Clonmel and more artwork will be changed in Befani’s Restaurant, Sarsfield Street, and the leisure centre at Hotel Minella.

STAG artwork will also be hung in the outpatients’ corridor in Tipperary University Hospital.

The STAG work team are on the last leg of the mural at St Anthony’s Unit, off the Glenconnor Road.

Drop up to have a look by taking the first left at the new roundabout on the Glenconnor Road. As it’s a building site, please take care.

The mosaic by Sixth Class pupils from Ss Peter and Paul’s School, with Junior STAG members is also nearing completion, though the group could do with a few more of the Sixth Class boys to participate.

Contact the STAG Organiser Maureen Purcell at 086-8096823 if you would like to help out. Congratulations to all who got involved in both projects and the mural painting with the Sixth Class boys in the school also.

In June, four of the STAG work team painted the bench in Parnell Street, so they have been very busy over the last few months.
