Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club’s annual 13km sponsored walk along the Suir Blueway on Sunday, September 3 will raise funds for two organisations supporting people who have cancer or have survived cancer.
The charity walk’s beneficiaries will be Childhood Cancer Ireland, which supports children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer and their families, and the Suir Dragon Paddlers, the Clonmel based dragon boat rowing team made up of breast cancer survivors.
The walk departs from Kilsheelan at 12 noon on September 3 and participants will walk the 13km to Carrick-on-Suir.
A bus, provided courtesy of Lyons Bus & Coach Hire, will transport walkers from Carrick-on-Suir to the start point.
It will depart from Davin Park, Carrick-on-Suir at 11.15am that day.
Refreshments will be provided for walkers who are advised to bring along a reusable water container.
Sponsorship cards are available from Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club members. Contact Ann Ellis at (086) 3873882 or Brian White at (086) 8334844.
