The Clonmel Busking Festival was a hug success
The Clonmel Busking Festival was a spectacular success over the weekend.
The event generated a great atmosphere around the streets of Clonmel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“We were thrilled with the support from the people of Clonmel who came out in large numbers to enjoy the entertainment,” said organiser Simon Molloy.
He said the quality of the musicians both on the streets and those that entered the busking competition was exceptionally high.
“I think it was the best busking festival yet because of the quality of the music on offer,” said Simon Molloy.
Simon said the presence of emerging young performers from the Clonmel area brought a great vibrancy to the event.
YOUNG TALENT
“There is some great young talent in this area and the winners of the busking festival, After Eden, are a great example of that,” said Simon Molloy.
Simon said it was wonderful for the organisers to be able to bring the festival back to Denis Burke Park on Sunday.
“It was just a fantastic fun family day out with plenty of music but also many interesting activities for young children to participate in.The park is a great venue and we were delighted to be back there for the first time since before Covid,” he said.
