Clonmel AC's Muireann Duffy who has has commenced her freshman year at Iona College, New York.
Best wishes are extended to Clonmel AC athlete Muireann Duffy as she embarks on her American dream, chasing academic and sporting success, at Iona University, New Rochelle, New York.
It has been a pleasure for all her coaches and clubmates to work with Muireann over the years, and her unassuming, hard working nature will help her towards the highlights she has been aiming towards as she begins her college athletics career running with Iona Gaels.
While the freshman year will be a rollercoaster one, her friends in Clonmel AC have no doubt that Muireann will embrace the opportunities to grow and develop, to learn and to build on the amazing foundations she has built over the years at home.
First update from Iona has been that Muireann has settled well in her new home, and by all accounts her new accommodation included a stock pile of running equipment that many of our club athletes could only dream of.
We look forward to catching up with Muireann when she returns to Clonmel on her college breaks, but for now, we will watch out for your name in upcoming college races.
