Cappawhite nail down a last four spot in the west junior B with clinical display

Cappawhite comfortably booked their place in the semi-final of the Tipperary Co-Op West Junior B Hurling Championship at Cappawhite on Friday evening. A heavy shower before the game didn’t help underfoot conditions.

Kevin Hally got Golden/Kilfeacle off the mark in the fourth minute with a point but less than a minute later Anthony Barry goaled for Cappawhite and the home side never looked back after this.

Neil Clancy and Anthony Barry added further points while Lee Hayes replied from a placed ball after eleven minutes.

Cappawhite helped by points from Anthony Barry, James Quinlan and Jack Armshaw pushed clear and led by 1-12 to 0-2 at the interval.

Golden/Kilfeacle made a few changes at the break with Daniel Currivan going into goals while Aidan Fogarty moved into the forwards.

The sides traded scores early in the half with Lee Hayes and Aidan Fogarty trading points with Anthony Barry and James Quinlan.

By the three quarter mark Cappawhite had pushed their advantage out further helped by two more from Neil Clancy. Anthony Barry, James Quinlan and Sean Cleary kept the Cappawhite scoreboard ticking over.

Golden/Kilfeacle battled bravely with Lee Hayes, Mikey Bergin and Derry Ormond but Cappawhite had a comfortable advantage at the full time whistle.
