A risk of heavy rain has forced the cancellation
Up to 20,000 people were expected in Dualla today but this morning, organisers made the difficult decision to cancel the Dualla Show due to the current weather conditions in the area.
A huge amount of rain fell overnight and with a lot of surface water, conditions at the venue deteriorated rapidly forcing the cancellation of the much loved event.
The decision will disappoint those set to attend with many having made their way to Tipperary from other counties over the weekend, just to ensure they would get there early this morning.
Organisers said that "Unfortunately due to deteriorating weather conditions we regret to announce the cancellation of Dualla Show 2023. Further updates to follow."
Despite the volume of work put in over previous months, the organisers felt it was not safe to hold the show this year despite all the preparations having being put in place already.
They stressed that they did all they could to host the show today. Further updates will be available in due course.
