Caoimhe Perdue from Cashel on the Irish Women’s Hockey team playing Germany in EuroHockey Championships held in Moenchengladbach, Germany

Caoimhe Perdue from Cashel was part of the Irish Women’s Hockey team that travelled to Moenchengladbach, Germany to play in the EuroHockey Championships 2023.
Ireland began their Pool B campaign taking on old rivals England in their opening fixture. Having been beaten 0-3 by England, Ireland looked to bounce back and collect some points in their second Pool B game against Scotland. Ireland won 5-0 and then played Germany in game three but were beaten.
Ireland then began their Pool C campaign with a game against Spain which ended 2-2.
The Irish women played Italy in their last match which resulted in a 1-1 draw. Ireland secured a point from that draw and won Pool C.
In addition to this, securing fifth place means that the Ireland team secure a spot in the Olympic qualification groups in January 2024 and a spot in the elite tier of European Hockey in 2025.
