Clonmel Golf Club will fly the flag for Tipperary at All-Ireland finals of Jimmy Bruen Cup

Thumbs up approval! Clonmel Golf Club Men's and Jimmy Bruen team player/manager was delighted with last Sunday's win over Bray.

Bruen team advance
Clonmel's Jimmy Bruen team are through to the All-Ireland Semi Finals in Westport, county Mayo on the weekend of September 21-24. In the All-Ireland semi-final they will play Tubbercurry Golf Club.

On Sunday last a Clonmel team, with a good mix of youth and experience,  defeated Bray Golf Club by 4-1 in a match played at Blarney Golf Club.

It was a victory against all the odds for Clonmel Golf Club against a highly rated squad from county Wicklow, a win that greatly pleased Men's Captain, Donncha Doyle. Donncha, himself a vastly experienced and wily team golfer over many years with Clonmel, is this year acting as player/manager and is now greatly looking forward to the All-Ireland finals. Clonmel Golf Club will travel north west in the hope of taking home to Lyreanearla a national pennant which they haven't managed to do for a few years now at Clonmel GC. All supporters join in wishing the Jimmy Bruen squad the very best of luck.
