Farmers across Tipperary attended last night's IFA Munster regional meeting

There was a large attendance at the meeting last night

A large attendance at the IFA Munster Regional Meeting in Charleville with many speakers on the night making important points on all aspects of farming.

IFA President Tim Cullinan spoke as well as Director General Damian McDonald and the Director of Policy Tadhg Buckley.

Farmers expressed their level of frustration topic’s included payment delays and TAMs grant approval, implications of the loss of stocking derogation on the farming industry, Deer Management, Forestry Strategy and TB Programme.

Harold Kingston IFA Munster Chairman said as a matter of urgency the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Marine Charlie McConalogue needs to meet with EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski in person in Brussels.

The issues that need to be addressed are based around on farming sustainably, the importance of CAP Schemes in meeting climate targets and ensuring food security he said.
