Opening of Anner Park Walkway
The official opening of Anner Park walkway will take place next Sunday evening September 17 at 6.30 pm. The all-weather walkway is now fully complete with floodlighting which will provide a safe and secure track for walkers especially over the winter months.
The official opening will be performed by our club president Alan Britton and the walkway will be blessed by Rev Fr. Tony Lambe PP.
Officials from Tipperary County Football Board will also be there to present Alan Britton with a Munster and all Ireland runners up medal which he won as a member of the 1955 Tipperary minor football panel but which he never received. Alan has given a lifetime of service to our club as a player, club administrator and as a team mentor to many teams over the years. He has also given a lifetime of work to the development of Anner Park so we are delighted to be honouring Alan on the night.
All are welcome to the official opening of this facility which has already become very popular with local walkers, providing them with a safe off-road facility.
