North Tipperary Development Company Jobs Fair will showcase opportunities around Mid-West

North Tipperary Development Company is to host a Jobs and Career Fair on Thursday, September 28, in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, from 10am to 2pm and will showcase employment opportunities in Tipperary and Limerick.

The event will also offer Jobseekers’ advice and guidance with CVs, jobseeking skills, interview skills and will feature presentations from job coaches and professionals in the areas of enterprise education and training.

There will be up to 40 stands on the day offering different employment, career, and training progression routes. It is envisaged that the event will lead to new opportunities for employment in Tipperary and Limerick.

Organiser Kevin Burrows Enterprise and Employment Officer with NTDC stated: “We are delighted that the Abbey Court Hotel can host this event, and we have partnered with The Tipperary Education Training Board, County Tipperary Chamber and local DSP Intreo Offices to bring a wide range of professional information and advice into one place for jobseekers to access”.

Michael Murray, CEO of NTDC, stated: “As part of our core work under the SICAP programme, we assist members of the community access employment supports through training, work readiness and career support actions and by working closely with our collaboration partners, enabling us to bring a joined-up approach to this area of our work”.

He thanked the funding agencies and their staff teams, who support NTDC’s employment and enterprise work, especially DSP, Tipperary Education & Training Board, Tipperary County Council, members of the Tipperary LCDC, Tipperary Chamber and the Department Rural & Community Development and other services to ensure employment support resources are available to all.

Trish Markey, Tipperary Chamber stated that the Chamber was delighted to partner with the staging of the event and reflected that the number of employers already signed up to attend, from employment sectors including the production sector, healthcare sector, childcare sector, manufacturing and hospitality demonstrates the wide spread of employment opportunities available for job seekers in the area.
