"Marking Days" in west Tipperary - Have your valuables securely etched to deter robberies

"Marking Days" in west Tipperary - Have your valuables securely etched to deter robberies

Upcoming “marking days” in Knockavilla Hall, and car park for bigger items. Secure your valuables.

COMMUNITY ALERT AND MARKING SCHEME
Knockavilla/Donaskeigh Community Council have always been to the forefront introducing various community alert initiatives for the area.
Our text alert service is still active, even though there may not be many texts coming through, we do still get reports of activity, which we report and check with Gardaí.
We act as agents to provide the security phones to eligible participants in the parish. This scheme is still available, free installation and free first year’s monitoring, and currently there are over 50 householders benefiting from this brilliant service.
Our next initiative is our plan to introduce property marking to everyone who wants to avail of it. This new security measure gives homeowners, farmers, businesses the chance to get their belongings etched/marked with their own eircode, thus making the items less attractive to thieves, as the markings are permanent, so more difficult for thieves to re-sell the items.
Over the next few weeks, we will have the special machines available to us, and we will hold “marking days” in Knockavilla Hall, and car park for bigger items, where people can avail of this service.
More details to follow.
Finally, the Gardaí have asked us to inform of their new property app. Download the app, and record all items of value with photos etc. In the event of items being stolen, you will have all your information stored on this app. Nobody can access this app without your permission.
