Inspirational Tipperary ETB learner launches new book

Author Liam Cleere with his past and present tutors

Killenaule author Liam Cleere launched his first book My Journey from the Back of the Class with Tipperary ETB at an inspiring event at the Horse and Jockey Hotel in Tipperary on Monday, 18 September.

Liam was joined by a large crowd which included Tipperary ETB management, adult literacy staff and tutors, officials from the ETBI (Education and Training Boards Ireland), Department of Further and Higher Education, and SOLAS, as well as Liam’s family, friends and fellow adult literacy learners. The book launch included speeches, a Q&A session and live readings of excerpts of Liam’s book.

Liam's book was made possible with support from ETBI. It's a captivating collection of poems and short stories that Liam has written during his 10-year learning adventure.
The book beautifully captures how he has grown as a writer and as a learner. It's an inspiring tale of personal development, self-confidence and self-discovery.
