Kickham House was also shortlisted as one of the Top Five Emerging Businesses at the 2023 Tipperary Business Awards
In the world of traditional pub culture, one establishment is proving that innovation is the key to staying at the top.
Kickham House, a Tipperary Town-based pub, has just secured its second consecutive victory as the Best Digital Innovator at the 2023 Irish Pub Awards.
"We are so excited to be taking home the second winning title for our region," said the proprietors, Nina and Travis Frisby, who took the helm of this establishment in Tipperary Town in November 2021.
"Tipperary Town is our home, it has so much to offer and we are dedicated in our efforts to place it firmly on the map where it rightfully belongs. We just want to say a big thank you to all our social media followers for their likes, shares and comments, and a big shout-out to our talented staff, you all are simply incredible".
Since 2021, Kickham House's proprietors have been hard at work, fully replacing the beer cooling system, investing in new high-quality appliances and furniture and transforming the backyard into a beer garden oasis, all while retaining the pub’s original traditional atmosphere.
Their dedication to excellence has not gone unnoticed. On top of the last year’s win at the 2022 Irish Pub Awards, the Kickham House has been shortlisted as one of the Top Five Emerging Businesses at the 2023 Tipperary Business Awards, hosted by Tipperary Chamber.
Among the 63 regional winners vying for the coveted overall Best of Ireland title, Kickham House proudly stands as one of just two regional champions hailing from county Tipperary.
This achievement is all the more remarkable when you consider that the south east region, encompassing the vibrant counties of Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford, is renowned for its rich pub and hospitality culture.
Irish Pub Awards are open to all members of VFI and LVA, with 63 regional winners across nine award categories.
The national winners in each category and the overall winner will be announced at the gala awards final on November 15 in The Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin 2.
