There is enormous excitement in Tipp Town with the news that Tipperary Tidy Towns has won the Supervalu National Tidy Towns Young Persons of the Year Award for 2023.
Huge congratulations to the committee for leading multiple initiatives with the schools in the town.
Thank you to Committee Chairman Paul O' Callaghan for his perseverance and commitment to this cause. Paul and the committee have worked with all the schools in town on biodiversity projects, tree planting, design projects related to anti litter signing and litter picking.
Tipperary Tidy Towns has also opened its committee to representatives of the secondary schools students. They have many ongoing projects and further ideas to develop with the young people of the town and area, as they are the future of our community.
The town has been awarded 341 marks in the Tidy Towns competition itself, an increase of 9 marks on 2022. Congratulations to all involved with the work of Tipperary Tidy Towns and continued success to them in their great work.
