Laura Jones and William Burke of the Talbot Hotel Clonmel proudly display the awards they won at the Irish Hotel Awards ceremony in Sligo

Last week the team at the Talbot Hotel Clonmel were celebrated at the annual Irish Hotel Awards.

Established to celebrate the best and brightest of the hospitality industry in Ireland, the awards ceremony took place in Sligo.

Speaking about the contenders this year, Shane Smith, the director of NI Media, who runs the ceremony said:
“The Irish Hotel Awards are now recognised as a benchmark of quality for properties in Ireland. All our members have been rigorously inspected by a team of researchers, who are dedicated to promoting and developing the industry.

“Our members have been assessed and judged at the highest standards and the quality out there is simply magnificent”.

Being shortlisted in over six categories, this was an excellent opportunity to reflect on the Clonmel hotel’s successes since becoming part of the Talbot Collection a little over 20 months ago.

Celebrating their commitment and dedication within the hospitality industry, the Talbot Hotel Clonmel was highly commended, as they accepted three awards in total.

Upon the presentation of their awards, the Talbot Hotel team were complimented on how they go above and beyond by providing outstanding guest experiences, creating a welcoming environment for their guests, and are hospitality leaders.

William Burke picked up the regional award for General Manager of the Year Munster.

Laura Jones not only won the regional award for Marketing Manager of the Year Munster, but also went on to win the Overall Marketing Manager of the Year in Ireland.

Congratulations to the team on such a rewarding evening.
