The Zombie Walk, a major highlight of the Halloween celebrations in Clonmel, will be held next Tuesday evening, October 31.

Clonmel Borough District staff have been working with the Busking Festival, Clonmel Library staff, the Gardaí, Civil Defence and Clonmel Community Training Centre to produce an evening of top quality entertainment, while at the same time providing an abundance of frights and scares.

The event will commence at Kickham Barracks Plaza at 6pm, where live entertainment will be provided by Axis.

The Zombie Walk will leave the Kickham Barracks Plaza at 6.30pm and walk for approximately 15 minutes as far as Clonmel Greyhound Track.

Once the zombies have reached the track, they will be entertained by After Eden, who will play outdoors, and Mad Patsy, who will perform in the restaurant.

There will be an opportunity to purchase soft drinks and fast food in the restaurant.

There will be a photo booth en route for you to take photographs in your Halloween costume and prizes will be given for the best costumes in each of the following categories -

Best dressed family;

Best dressed adult;

Best dressed minor; and

Scariest costume.

Send a photo of your costume to clonmelbd@tipperarycoco.ie to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

The winners will be announced on the Clonmel Borough District Facebook Page.

For any enquiries about the Zombie Walk, email clonmelbd@tipperarycoco.ie or visit the Clonmel Borough District Facebook page for updates on the event.
