A huge amount of Irish players have made the switch from gaelic games to AFLW over recent months and the Tipperary representatives have all shone.
In total over 30 Irish players have seen game time with their clubs this season with Irish players contributing to 14 of the 18 clubs in the league.
All eight sides that will contest the finals over the coming weekend feature Irish players with three Tipp natives taking part.
The Tipperary players that took up contracts in Australia have played key roles and three of them, all former Tipperary Ladies Football players, will see action this weekend in the knockout stages.
With just eight teams left, the stakes are higher with every game played in finals week 1 as the crunch time approaches over the coming hours.
West Tipperary native Orla O’Dwyer is in action with the Brisbane Lions who will take the field against the Adelaide Crows in the early hours, with the start time set at 4.05am Irish time on Saturday morning.
Just under 24 hours later at 2.05am Irish time - on Sunday morning - Cahir’s Aishling Moloney will be in action when her side the Geelong Cats take on Essendon.
Following that game the focus shift's to Niamh Martin's team the North Melbourne Kangaroos who will be in action at 4.05am on Sunday morning as they take on the Melbourne Demons in another crunch tie.
