Minister of State for the Office of Public Works Patrick O’Donovan has announced the approval of €107,100 extra funding for flood mitigation works in Cashel.
The €107,100 will go towards the flood prevent project at Cooper's Lot, Cashel. The grant will fund geomorphological analysis, site investigation works, hydrological modelling and a modelling assessment.
Tipperary County Council has secured the funding through an application it submitted to the OPW Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.
Minister O'Donovan said the funding is in addition to €67,500 already approved by the OPW for works at Cooper’s Lot.
