Dylan Slevin is hitting the big time
Tipperary’s Dylan Slevin has made the grade for this weekend’s Cazoo Players Championship Finals in unusual circumstances. The former UK Open champion Danny Noppert has withdrawn from the field as his partner is expecting a baby.
He is replaced, by the rules of the competition, by the next non-qualified player from the Players Championship Order of Merit which happens to be Dylan Slevin.
The Borrisokane native missed out on qualifying for the TV event by just one spot however he now will take his place in the championships and will now face Matt Campbell in the first round at Minehead on Friday, the first day of the three day tournament.
The televised tournament will be broadcast on ITV4 across the UK, and it can also be accessed worldwide with the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners.
Coverage will also be broadcast on PDCTV (excluding subscribers in the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland), while action from Stage Two will be broadcast worldwide on PDCTV on Friday and Saturday.
Dylan Slevin will feature on the prime evening slot this Friday where the action will be from the main stage.
