As his team prepares to face Dingle in Sunday's AIB Munster Club Senior Football Championship semi-final at FBD Semple Stadium, Clonmel Commercials manager Tommy Morrissey agrees that his side’s winning run has generated a certain confidence within the group.

“Absolutely, there’s nothing like getting into a winning habit. Players look forward to the next game because there’s an air of confidence about the group.

“That (confidence) is in the group long before the last few weeks and months. They have had so much success in big games.
“Everybody in the group is counting down the days until next Sunday”.

The manager says some players have a few knocks and niggles but he’s hopeful that everyone will be available for selection, including Seanie O’Connor, who has scored three goals in the last two games.

“Seanie is fine. We took him off as a precaution against Newcastle West, he had a virus in the weeks leading up to the game”.

Commercials are a 6/4 chance to win on Sunday, while Dingle are 8/11 favourites.

Sunday’s game, which starts at 1.30, will be live streamed on Munster GAA TV in conjunction with Stream Sport, as will the other semi-final between Waterford’s Rathgormack and Castlehaven of Cork. This game also goes ahead at 1.30 on Sunday, at Fraher Field, Dungarvan.

The final will be played on the weekend of December 9/10.

Commercials’ last appearance in the provincial final was four years ago, when they were beaten by Nemo Rangers.

Dingle are trying to reach the final for the first time.
