Carrick-on-Suir Library to host carol singing and screen Christmas movies

There will be plenty of Christmas cheer at Carrick-on-Suir Library over the next week.

Pupils and teachers from CBS St Mary's Primary School in Carrick-on-Suir will perform carols in the Library on Tuesday, December 19 at 11.30am. All are invited to attend and listen to the festive singing.

Christmas films

The Library will also host screenings of the Christmas movies, “The Snowman” and “The Snowman and Snowdog” based on the characters in Raymond Briggs’ beautiful picture books on Friday, December 15 at 3.30pm. The films will be suitable for five-year-olds and older. Running time will be approximately an hour.

Christmas Pyjamas Party

Meanwhile, a children’s Christmas pyjamas party took place at Carrick Library last Wednesday, December 6.
Laura from Firefly Parties entertained the visiting children with music and magic and there was a reading of the Polar Express story by Library staff. Then it was all aboard the Library Polar Express Train around specially constructed tracks. Carrick Library, meanwhile, thanks photographer Margueritte Kent for her beautiful photographs.
