Shauna O'Keeffe made a winning start to her professional career
Clonmel's Shauna O'Keeffe is one of five nominees in the Pro Debut of the Year category in the online Irish Boxing Awards.
Relocating to Essex, England when she turned professional, the super featherweight went straight into the deep end with a six- rounder against the very-dangerous Vaida Masiokaite earlier this month.
Overcoming a tricky start, O’Keeffe hurt the Lithuanian repeatedly down the stretch en route to an impressive points win.

Shauna was recently honoured by the Tipperary United Sports Panel when she was included in the list of the county's sports stars of the year who will receive the Annerville awards, which are sponsored by Bulmers, in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel on Saturday night, January 27.
