MULLINAHONE NOTES:

We were all saddened to hear of the sudden passing of William Croke Newlands. Willie as he was better known by all, was pre-deceased by his brother John.

Willie was a very accomplished hurler and footballer with CJ Kickham’s GAA Club in his younger days, and always kept a keen interest in club games over the years.

Willie with his sister Ann was also one of the founding members of Mullinahone Ladies Football Club. In it’s infancy the clubs training ground was “Crokes field” in Newlands, where the club trained twice a week with Willie at the helm.

We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Nora, son William, daughter in law Christine, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Willie rest in peace.
