Clonmel Lions Club is preparing for its fundraising event to support South Tipperary Barnardos.
The club is hosting a lunch in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel next Sunday February 11, followed by a performance from The Clonmel Concert Band and a raffle.
All funds raised will go towards Barnardos, Clonmel.
Joanne O’Gorman Project Leader with Barnardos said “We are so grateful to be the local beneficiaries of such a wonderful event from Clonmel Lions. Last year, we worked with over 250 families and children in south Tipperary.
“Funds raised by the Lions will go towards creating our sensory garden, furnishings for our new therapeutic building and will help buy resources for the children using the therapeutic space. It also means we will have more space to welcome additional children to the service, because childhood lasts a lifetime”.
Clonmel Lions Club has tickets available for purchase and is urging the local community to embrace the Valentine’s Day spirit by considering these tickets as a unique present for that someone special.
Clonmel Lions Club is a dedicated group committed to making a positive impact on the community.
Barnardos’ mission is to deliver services and work with families, communities and partners to transform the lives of vulnerable children who are affected by adverse childhood experiences.
Tickets are €50 each and are available from reception at the Talbot Hotel (cash only) and may also be booked with the Lions Club on 089- 4229675.
Enquires may also be made to any Lions Club member and Barnardos.
Pre-booking for the event is essential.
