The late Mary Morris
Much sadness has been expressed following the death of Mary Morris, (née O’Farrell), Redwood Place, Prior Park and Eldon’s Lounge, Dillon Street, Clonmel and formerly Ballyporeen.
Mary was very well-known and popular in Clonmel, having served as a teacher at the Sisters of Charity School for many years, and having run Eldon's Lounge with her late husband Eldon Morris, and was known far and wide as a lovely lady.
She was actively involved in the local community, especially as a member of the South Tipperary Hospice Movement, and played a leading role in the Daffodil Day fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society.
She passed away peacefully at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork in the early hours of Monday morning, in the presence of her loving family.
Pre-deceased by her husband Eldon, brothers Michael and Jim and brother-in-law Ted (Murphy) she will be sadly missed by her sons David, Paul, Conor and Brian, daughter Anne (Lyons), grandchildren Jessica, Danny, Anna, James, Ellie, Laura, Sarah, John, Patrick and David, brother Sean, sister Amelia (Murphy), son-in-law Peter, daughters-in-law Jane, Barbara and Noeleen, sisters-in-law Mairéad, Bridie and Elaine, nephews, nieces, extended family, former teaching colleagues and friends.
Mary's body will repose at Condon's Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Wednesday evening from 4.30pm to 7pm. The removal will be on Thursday to Ss Peter and Paul’s Church, with Funeral Mass on arrival at 1pm.

Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery.
