New exhibition opens at South Tipperary Arts Centre

A new exhibition opens at the STAC in Clonmel on March 8

Opening 8th March at STAC, New Neighbours brings together the work of painters Olivia O'Dwyer and Fergal Styles for the first time. Accompanying the exhibition will be a newly commissioned text by Neva Elliot.

In Styles studio, he starts his work by writing its title on the reverse of the canvas in
capitalised, elongated letters of black marker, joined by an arrow pointing upwards: NEW
NEIGHBOURS, MAN IN BATHROOM WITH SWAN WALLPAPER, GREEN CANDLE IN A
WINE RED ROOM. O’Dwyer visited Styles and had him moniker her work in the same
fashion: I LOVE KEVIN BACON, BEDHEAD III, where they bonded over the Andrew
Cranson quote, “Making art is time travelling.”
