Captain Guinness provides Tipperary jockey Rachael Blackmore with another winner at Cheltenham

Rachael Blackmore had her second winner at this week's Cheltenham Festival when steering Captain Guinness to win the Queen Mother Champion Chase this afternoon.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained horse held off the challenge of Gentleman De Mee on the home straight.

The big story of the race, however, concerned the 2/9 favourite El Fabiolo, which was sensationally pulled up after making a mistake on the fence away from the stands.

The winner was a 17/2 chance.

Rachael Blackmore told the Racing Post, "He travelled incredibly and he jumped really well, but it felt like a long hill today. It’s incredible. I’m so pleased for his owner as he’s been knocking on the door in these big races but this is the biggest of his division".
