Captains' Drive in 2024

Carrick on Suir Golf Club hosted our Captains Drive in on Bank Holiday Monday 18th March.
The event had been brought forward by a few hours due to the inclement weather that was forecast and this proved to be the correct decision.

Both our new Captain Raymond Power and Lady Captain Aileen Fitzpatrick, who is serving her second term, supported by a large attendance and in the company of Club President Ina English hit superb drives to welcome in the new golfing season.
The official drive-in was followed by a 3 person scramble competition with shotgun start where 78 members enjoyed this fun 11 hole event.

This was followed by a most enjoyable evening in the Clubhouse where a buffet meal was served and the prize giving ceremony took place.

Both the Captain and Lady Captain complimented the Course Manager Robert Barry and the course staff for presenting the course in such good conditions after such bad weather in recent weeks.
The Captains said that the club was open to new members and encouraged existing members to bring along anyone interested in taking up the game of golf.

They said they looked forward to a great golf season ahead where many competitions, classics and opens are planned.
